Item Description:	For soprano and tenor with chamber orchestra; includes a reduction for piano. Caption title. "NB. This is the only edition with the words by Sigr. Da Ponte, as sung by Sigra. Banti & Mr. Kelly"--at head of title; a comparison with the text of the 1769 ed., however, shows the words to be identical to those attributed to Calzabigi. The opera had its London premiere on 30 April 1795 at the King's Theatre, in a benefit performance for Mme. Banti. Engraved throughout.
