Description
Summary:Inspired by the epic poem "Martin Fierro," 100 years later, the descendants of the 'gaucho' have now moved into the city along with other emigrants and are still fighting the militaristic oppression of their forefathers. One town's urban working class is portrayed by "collective" characters representing different social roles and follows them through their struggle to unify against the tyrannical government and industrial enslavement. The film intersperses historical footage and references with the dramatic scenes.
