| Summary: | The purpose of this research is to seek stress level among student, type of stress
that have been experienced, main factor that caused stress, correlation between research
aspect and a relationship between stress level and student's gender. 75 students of Civil
Engineering from Kolej Universiti Teknologi Tun Hussein Onn had been involved in
this research. Instruments used for this research was organized by researcher to fulfill
the objectives and research situation. Questionnaires were constructed to three part
which are Part A student personal information, Part B factor that has potential for stress
and Part C respondent's opinion against managing stresses. Data collected were then
analyzed using Statistical Package For Social Sciences (SPSS) ver 11.5 to get mean and
percentage. Pearson Product-Moment Correlation Coefficient (r) and independent T-test
had been carried out to answer research questions. The findings revealed that student's
stress level is moderate. Mental stress appeared to be the highest stress level compared
to emotional stress and physical stress. The results indicated that the main factor that
caused stress to respondents is too many assignments to be completed at one time with
stress level 4.01. From analysis there is moderate correlation between mental aspect and
physical aspect while high correlation between mental aspect and emotional aspect;
physical aspect and emotional aspect. However, there is no statistically significant
difference between stress level and student's gender. The researcher recommends a few
suggestions for due consideration and guidance for next research. |
