| Summary: | The rapid development of e- learning has become a new challenge to every
educational institution. Therefore, pro active steps has been taken by many
institutions in order to enhance the quality of teaching and learning process, for
example in providing online learning and continuing learning packages. To ensure
the successful of these ideas is to make strategic planning such as good promotions
and producing more quality and flexible online learning materials. The purpose of
this study is to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of the Online Template
Module System (e-Template module) for the Center for Continuing Education
(PPB) KUiTTHO. The method used in this study is a survey method, while the
design for this study is both qualitative and quantitative method. The evaluations in
this study emphasis in the aspect of usability, user friendliness and the characteristics
of the system. Sample for this study consist 30 respondents and the instruments used
are questionnaires and interviews. The collected data are analyzed using Statistical
Packages for Social Sciences Version 11.0 (SPSS). The data involved mean score's
and Spearman's rho Correlation. From the interview findings, it is found that the e-
Template Module system was needed to help lecturers in the development of
modules. Analysis from this study also shows that usability and user friendliness of
the system at a high level (mean score 3.81 and 3.93), while the characteristics are
rated at a medium level (mean score 3.78). At the other hand, the level of satisfaction
towards the system rated at high level (mean score 3.84). The hypothesis testing
indicated that there were no significant relationship between lecturer's experience
and usability of the e-Template Module. In future, it is advised that this study should
be done more thoroughly especially in the aspects of design and characteristics of the
system to enhance its capability. |
