| Ringkasan: | One of the contents of National Education Philosophy is to produce a well-balanced individual. This element is also influence by industrial sector in Malaysia. For example, a balanced individual is someone who has knowledge in career field as well as general knowledge (generic skills). Thus, in order to mould a well-balanced individual, it is believed that co-curriculum can complement curriculum in the education system in Malaysia including institution such as Polytechnics. Therefore, in this Philosophy Doctor level research paper, it will act as a proposal that will discuss the importance in implementing co-curriculum activity in Polytechnics in order to cultivate generic skills among future workforce in Malaysia. In the early stage if this proposal, researcher has suggested a few related issues and point of views on co-curriculum, the relationship between co-curriculum and generic skills and addressing matters on research format such as problem statement, research issue, research hypothesis, research, the importance of research and definition and operational. |
