Summary:A case study which operates in Technology Institute of Tun Hussien Onn (ITTHO) that aimed to identify the level of acceptance from the students of higher learning institution on the teaching and learning services through 'nicenet'website and email as alternative to conventional method: students in lecture room. At the same time the study conducted aimed to determine on whether there is any significant difference between conventional method and the usage of 'nicenet' website and email in the teaching and learning services based on students’ perception. It is also aimed to identify problems faced by student when they are using the conventional method as well as the modern method-the usage of nicenet website and email. Study conducted involved students who take the Islamic and Asia’s 2 Civilization (TITAS 2) course. This study is believed to be able to assist students and lecturers to overcome the main problem in using the conventional method especially when students have difficulty to meet their lecturers due to the time constraint. Instrument for this study was questionnaire and data obtained and analyzed using 'SPSS for Windows' version 7.5 programme. Descriptive analysis has been used to identify students acceptance while 'one way anova' is used to see student's view on the differences between the use of conventional method and the used of 'nicenet' website and email. Research results showed that there are no significant difference between the used of 'nicenet' website and email, however, there is significant differences between the used of conventional method and the used of ‘nicenet’ website and email. Among the problems identified in teaching and learning process using ‘nicenet’ website and email are the used of the service was not open by lecturer and 'nicenet' and email confront with a damage server.
