Description
Summary:A case study can be defined as empirical inquiry that investigates a contemporary phenomenon within its life context and copes with the technically distinctive situation in which there will be many more variables of interest than data points and relies on multiple sources of evidence. This paper presents a discussion on the philosophical stance of the case study as a methodology leading to the PhD research project which is titled Opportunities for the Transfer of United Kingdom (UK) Best Practices for the Provision of Care Homes for the Elderly in Malaysia. The case study technique consists of document analysis, observation and focus group interviews and their use will be justified.
