Summary:Along with the rapid development of the country in particular, graduates need to be successful academically as well as proficient in the elements of soft skills to compete in the world of work. The demand of reliability market nowadays requires graduates to success in the academic field and possesses knowledge and additional skills such as soft skills to produce skilled workers. However, the mismatch between soft skills possessed by graduates and the skills required by the industry being one of the causes for graduates are not qualified. Based on multiple intelligence theory, each person have different level of skills and efficencies. This study attempts to evaluate soft skills among diploma of architecture student’s in Malaysian polytechnics and the relationship between soft skills and multiple intelligence theory based on literature review. The importance and needs of soft skills in producing competent graduates will also be discussed.
