| Summary: | This project presents design and implementation of PID current control for Induction motor. The PID controller is employed to control the output current of the induction motor. Arduino board devices are used as a controller for the implementation of the control system design. The PID controller is developed and simulates using MATLAB/Simulink software. Hence, downloads to Arduino where generates the PWM signal. The signals then send to the gate driver of a three phase inverter to give a stable performance to the induction motor. The improvement of performance is by comparing the actual measured currents of the motor with respect to their reference current. The difference is then corrected thus minimizing the current error. A simple hardware implementation of the PID current controller is designed and experimental results are presented to demonstrate the validity of this approach. The results are observed in three condition; simulation, open loop control and close loop. It has been observed that the designed system has been successfully implemented. |
