| Summary: | An investigation of phase agility characteristics and
kequency tunability performance of different reflectarray resonant
elements is presented in this paper. Dynamic phase range and
ftequency tunability characteristics of rectangular, dipole and ring
elements printed on grounded non-linear dielectric anisotropic
materials have been investigated at X-band kequency range using
CST computer model and analytical equations. Analysis of tunability
performance for different non-linear materials is carried out with
dielectric anisotropy (A&) values ranging ftom 0.17 to 0.45. Method
of Moment is used to solve analytical equations for static and
dynamic phase ranges as well as frequency tunability. It has been
demonstrated that the ring element with higher static phase range of
210" offers a maximum dynamic phase range of 242" whereas
rectangular element with lower static phase range of 166" attains a
higher kequency tunability of 796 MHz. The possibility of using
different reflectarray elements with different non-linear dielectric
materials demonstrated a significant effect on the phase agility and
tunability performance of reflectarray antenna. |
