Summary:Additional filler in polydiiethylsiloxane (PDMS) has successfully enhanced the properties of the composites. This paper highlights the role of rice husk silica (RHS) in improving the vibration and tensile properties of PDMS. The PDMSRHS composite panels were fabricated via casting technique and cured at 100 "C. PDMS/RHS composites were analyzed for hand arm vibration exposure analysis using IS0 8662 standard and tensile properties conducted using ASTM D412 standard. In vibration exposure study, addition of RHS inPDMS had decreased the vibration exposure to 47%. The tensile properties of PDMSRHS panels showed improvement in the tensile strength with 15% increment compared to unfilled PDMS. Both analyses had proven that RHS plays a vital role as a filler and reinforcement to improve the properties of PDMS. In tension mode, RHS act as reinforcement to bear and transmit the load efficiently to matrix and in terms of vibration exposure, significantly decreased the vibration acceleration value. Penambahan pengisi di dalam polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) telah berjaya meningkatkan sifat -sifat komposit. Kajian ini menekankan peranan siliia sekam padi (RHS) didalam menambahbaik sifat - sifat getaran dan tegangan PDMS. Panel komposit PDMSRHS dihasilkan melalui kaedah tuangan dan dirawat pada suhu 100 "C. Komposit PDMSRHS dianalisa berdasarkanpiawaian IS0 8662 untuk mengkaji kesan pendedahan gegaran pada tangan dan sifat - sifat tegangan diiaji berpandukan piawaian ASTM D412. Hasil daripada kajian pendedahan getaran, penambahan RHS ke dalam PDMS telah mengurangkan pendedahan getaran sebanyak 47%. Sifat - sifat tegangan PDMSIRHS menunjukkan peningkatan sebanyak 15% berbanding PDMS tanpa pengisi. Kedua - dua ujian yang dijalankan telah membuktikan bahawa RHS memainkan peranan penting sebagai pengisi untuk meningkatkan sifat - sifat PDMS.
