| Summary: | Nowadays, diffusion-based molecular communication (DBMC) is gaining recognition as a new physical layer option for nanoscale communication between bio-nanomachines, particularly for emerging applications in biomedical and healthcare. Although numerous studies have been conducted to evaluate and analyse DBMC system to date, investigation on multilayer DBMC channels still has had less attention in the literature. This paper presents an investigation of the delay spread in a multilayer DBMC channel. The results indicate that the delay spread is depending on the averaged diffusion coefficient, transmission distance and the data rate of transmitted bits, but not on the total number of transmitted molecules. |
