| Summary: | This conceptual paper reviews the influence of self-efficacy towards career satisfaction among female engineers. It reviews the basis from Bandura (1977)’s social cognitive theory – that, with self-efficacy, one can achieve what one sets out to do. Self-efficacy has the capability to influence an individual’s belief regarding his or her ability to successfully complete tasks necessary to making career decisions. In the case of female engineers, working in a male-dominated profession, self-efficacy plays an important role on female’s career satisfaction. The purpose of this conceptual paper is to understand the role of self-efficacy on female employees’ career satisfaction. |
